Zinan Liu

Zinan Liu, Chairman of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Asia. Joined Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd in 2009, Dr. Liu was tasked to develop the team and business in China and Asia from scratch. Today, Royal Caribbean has become the most influential luxury cruise brand in China and Asia. And China has become the second largest market after the United States of Royal Caribbean.

Dr. Liu has successfully deployed the Voyager Class, Quantum Class and Quantum Ultra Class, the largest and latest cruise ship with creative features in Asia into China, which was well respected by industry and drive the 10 years development of China cruise market. Dr. Liu has won “The Magnolia Award” which awarded by Shanghai government for the successful executives of international enterprise.

Dr. Liu graduated from the Queen Mary College, University of London with doctor degree in Economics in 1992. Prior to joining Royal Caribbean, he has a various of career experience. From 1922 to 1999, he worked in London Metropolitan University as a senior lecturer and engaged in economic research for 7 years. From 1999 to 2004, he worked in Crosby MTM as Vice President and he was responsible for international companies’ strategic investment in China. During 2004 to 2009 he held executive positions in BTI to develop new format of business travelling with Jinjiang Group.

Dr. Liu was a member of Royal Economic Society, Chairman of Chinese Economic Association-UK, Chairman of CLIA North Asia.
